Seoul, Korea.
February 14, 2007. GenComm (Mr. Hyeon-Seok Sohn,
President) today announce that KTF the second largest
wireless service provider in Korea has selected
GenComm’s G7104A Multimaster Base Station Tester as
their standard test equipment for the service and
maintenance of CDMA and WCDMA/HSDPA base stations.
“It is not
very common that a domestic supplier is selected as the
best solution while competing with global test and
measurement companies like Agilent, Tektronix and
Anritsu”, said Mr. Sohn. “The G7104A Mulitmaster was the
only solution that successfully passed all the
qualification tests conducted by KTF Engineering
Laboratories”.
Since the
first introduction of the Multimaster in 2004, the
company has shipped about 100 units to service providers
in Korea, which it’s estimated to represent a 20% share
of the market. Today, GenComm has become the prime
supplier of base station testers for KTF and it’s
expected to be one of the market leaders in Korea.
The G7104A
Multimaster that GenComm will supply to KTF is a
multipurpose test equipment that integrates all the
necessary functions to test and measure CDMA and WCDMA
base stations as well as repeaters. It performs the
functions of spectrum analyzer, signal generator,
antenna and cable tester, RF power meter and E1/T1
transmission analyzer.
