GenComm Test and Measurement (GCTM) is a leader provider of wireless test and measurement solutions and services for the wireless industry, which includes, network operators, network element manufacturers, and service providers.

 

GenComm serves its market through two business units:

  • Wireless Test & Measurement. A solutions portfolio of portable test & measurement products for troubleshooting and maintenance of wireless base stations and repeaters.

  • Time & Frequency References. A set of highly accurate timing and frequency solutions for wireless base stations.

Company History

 

2001 GenComm is created as a Hi-Tech company for synchronization and wireless in Korea. GenComm’s initiates its operations servicing Symmetricom’s timing and frequency references for the network element manufacturers in Korea, including Samsung and LG.

2002 GenComm established an agreement with Agilent for the transition of services for timing and synchronization reference, including repair and calibration.

2003 The engineering laboratory is established initiating the research and development initiatives for wireless test and measurement solutions. GenComm established a sales agreement with Symmetricom to sell OEM time and frequency subsystems in Korea.

2004 GenComm introduces its first wireless test and measurement solution, a base station analyzer, G7104A Multimaster, targeting the Korean wireless operators. In the same year, GenComm is awarded as “Best Partner” by SK Telecom for the development of the G7104A Multimaster.

2006 GenComm introduces the Cable & Antenna Analyzer, GC724A, targeting the global market. In the same year initiates its expansion into international markets.

2007 GenComm signs an agreement with JDSU for the global distribution of its wireless test and measurement solutions. GenComm wins a strategic project with its G7104A at KTF – Korea, becoming the leader of wireless test and measurement solutions in the country. GenComm introduces its second cable and antenna analyzer, GC723A, targeting the global wireless services providers and network element manufacturers. GenComm introduces its international Base Station Analyzer, GC7105A, targeting the global wireless service providers and network element manufacturers.

2008 GenComm introduces its international RF Analyzer, GC7106A, targeting the global wireless service providers and network element manufacturers.

2009 GenComm introduces a complete family of RF power sensors, the GC730 Series, for in-service and out-of-service applications.

2010 GenComm introduces its next generation Base Station Analyzer GC7105B, as the optimal wireless test solution for cellular networks performing signal analysis for all technologies, from 2G to 4G.

GenComm introduces its new Signal Analyzer GC7108B, as the ideal solution for wireless network optimization performing RF conformance testing, interference analysis and performance modulation analysis for cellular technologies, from 2G to 4G.
